Baby # 2

I am 15 weeks and starting to feel better. This pregnancy has been difficult, but I know in the end the reward will be great. We will find out if it's a boy or girl but we have about 5 more weeks until we get that joy. At our upcoming appointment next week we are taking Nana with us. It's great to have so many helping hands with Jackson. He and I are going to be taking a little vacation and I can't wait to see his impression of Disneyland now that he is a little bigger. I think he will enjoy the rides in a whole new way. That's all for now. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new cousin Lily! Any day now!!

So it has been much too long since I have posted anything...and I just don't want to forget how. I shall return :)

Happy Halloween

We look forward to spending the evening with the family. This will be the first night we try our evening bedtime routine at a grandparents house. We are pack and play ready and hope for the best. It will be a good 2 years before Halloween is fun for him, I think. He woke up smiling today which is amazing. It really does affect the start of my day, which means today is a great day!

Crying

I know that he needs sleep. But, he just wants to fight it. The look in his eyes when I go to comfort him is a heartbreaker. He grabs so tight to my finger when I place it on his palm to let him know I am there. But then, that sweet surrender and peaceful silence of rest. What a good boy.

Getting my feet wet

Some dear mommies in my life have encouraged me to start a blog and I think this will be a good thing for me. A place to put out my thoughts, simply to get them down on "paper" :) we are so electronic.
Who Am I? Let's start with that. Who am I today may be better. I am a woman, a wife, a mother. I think in that order. I am a playful person that loves to be around other people. I like to be warm, not cold. I love christmas and Disney. I love being around Family. I love kissing my son's cheeks. I work hard when I have a task in front of me. I am a homebody at heart. I enjoy taking pictures. I am tall. I know that may seem like a weird thing to define part of who I am, but it does. I view the world from a different place. Sometimes I try to be small, which is ironic because I am a small :) but in all honesty I don't need to be. I can be tall and bright and proud. I have a degree in organizational communication and I feel like it has served me well. I am living in transition which is hard. I never liked change, then growing up I had to deal with it a lot moving. But the last 7 years I have been developing roots and now I am back to change and transition. I think I am learning to deal with it well.
I feel that is a good start.
